Your First Visit

What to expect in Sunday morning worship

Sunday services at Wayne are at 8:30, 9:30 and 11 a.m. (During the summer we shift to 8:30 and 10 a.m.) The 8:30 service is forty-five minutes and features our quartet. The 9:30 and 11:00 service last about an hour and feature a full choir. At the 11 a.m. service, children are welcomed forward for a brief message. Second grade and up are encouraged to return to their pews. Others travel with Ms. M. to another part of the building for a children’s worship experience.

What should I wear?

Visitors are sometimes concerned about what to wear. There is no Sunday dress code. Many men wear suits, some wear khakis. Many women wear dresses, some wear slacks.

If you have children

Childcare is available at all services for infants and toddlers. Your children are also welcome in the service. Age-graded Sunday school starts at age 2 and is housed in the Davidson building. Find out more here.

Sunday Morning Classes

Church school classes are 9:30-10:40 each Sunday morning. Nursery care is provided for infants. The nursery and children's classrooms are located in the Davidson building. Middle school youth meet in Davidson building 208 and 209. High school youth meet offsite, nearby on Lancaster Avenue. Classes for adults are spread throughout the buildings. Signs are posted, but please ask if you need help.

'Come and Consider' new member classes are offered several times a year.  Join other prospective new members for lunch and an engaging discussion of what brought each of us to Wayne Presbyterian, and what will keep us here.   Childcare is available upon request.    Check the event calendar to find out the dates.
