Dear Members of Wayne Presbyterian Church,
During this Christmastide we are observing COVID cases rising as people extend their social circles and two variants (Delta and Omicron) are circulating in the population. We are grateful that vaccines are mitigating symptoms, but we feel called to take steps to help limit COVID exposure within our church community. To accomplish this goal, we will be temporarily easing up on our in-person offerings, moving Worship, Programs and Committee meetings to virtual only for the next three weeks. Starting this Sunday, January 2nd, we will livestream one worship service at 10:30 a.m.
Our hope is that this timeline will provide time and space to watch post-holiday case numbers and safely re-engage in our in-person activities. There will be in-person Worship on January 23rd and subsequently Program and Committee meetings can resume in person the week of January 24th.
Our church has done a remarkable job of adapting to the challenges of the pandemic. Our prayer is that as we move into the New Year, we continue to support and encourage one another as the Body of Christ as we navigate these trying times together.
