Thursday Morning Men’s Ministry (TM3) is an informal group that meets at 7:00 am each Thursday in the Knox Room on the second floor above the Church offices. The program year runs from September through June.
The morning begins with a hot breakfast & fellowship. This is followed by a 30 minute presentation from outstanding professors from Eastern University. We wrap up at 8 am, although the Professors usually stay for awhile to answer questions and chat.

On Sunday evenings our middle and high school youth group meet. The evening starts with din-ner, which is almost always pizza with a salad and dessert, where we all hang out and catch up with one another. Then most days we split into our different groups. Rock, which is middle school youth group, usually plays a game like human hungry-hungry hippos or live action clue, get into a discussion on faith and their lives, and spends time in prayer for each other. Meanwhile Door, our high school group, does it’s own parallel dis-cussions, games, and prayer. This year we will be serving more and more in youth group, and will together participate in a variety of activities to serve members of our church, the larger commu-nity, and SW Philly.
In general, Rock and Door focuses on building relationships/support systems for our teens, hav-ing discussions about their reality and where God is in the midst of it, and teaching them to use their gifts to serve God and others. These groups are great for people new to the church, wanting to learn more about God, who want a group to be loved by, or to have fun with. While every-thing we do in youth ministry is fun, because life’s too short not to have fun, it is definitely more emphasized here than on Sunday morning.
