Winter frost has visited us of late and TCP is having a clothing drive to help the residents of SW Philly. We are collecting winter clothes only. Due to restrictions, we have limitations on when, and how we can accept, but TCP needs your items.
Labeled, sorted bags are hugely helpful with COVID protocol and it greatly reduces the work load for those distributing the clothes. Please follow the following instructions:
- Clothes should be sports or everyday WINTER wear
- Clothes need to be in good condition i.e., no rips or stains
- Clothes need to be PRESORTED and each bag labeled, preferably in a clear plastic bag. EX: “Women’s, size MED” or “Children under 5”. This is to avoid unnecessary handling of clothes.
- Please no underwear unless it is a new package.
- Shoes, belts, purses and other accessory items need to be labeled in a bag with the size noted.
- Linens will not be accepted at this time, but perhaps in the future.
- Drop off your presorted bags at the church on Tuesday November 16 between 3 and 5:00. Your clothes will be received OUTSIDE the church and put into cars for immediate delivery to TCP. Please do not drop off clothes at the church other than these times.
