Creation Care Series: Saving the World One Plant at a Time

A 2-week series will be presented in the Chapel at 9:30 in honor of WPC's 4th year as an Earth Care Congregation. On September 18, Noel Smyth, a member of Temple Lutheran Church in Havertown and a civil engineer, will discuss his church's recent experience with the installation of solar panels. On September 25, Phillip and Bonnie Witmer, leaders in Birdtown PA and other local conservation efforts, will offer their ideas for "Saving the World One Plant at a Time."

Saving the World One Plant at a Time – September 25, 9:30 a.m., Chapel

Phillip and Bonnie Witmer, leaders in Bird Town, PA and other local environmental education and conservation efforts, will offer their ideas on "Saving the World One Plant at a Time."  We are thrilled to have this experienced team share their deep knowledge of plants, birds, and ecosystems to help us understand the importance of cultivating native species in our yards and thereby sustaining our region’s environmental health.  And, in doing so, we can also enjoy beautiful landscapes with fascinating and beneficial insects, butterflies, birds, and animals.
