Katharine Hayhoe

Katharine Hayhoe is an atmospheric scientist who studies climate change, one of the most pressing issues facing humanity today.  But Katharine may be best-known to many people because of how she’s bridging the gap between scientists and Christians— work she does in part because she’s a Christian herself.  She is a gifted communicator, able to explain not only the science of global warming, but also why we as Christians are called to help mitigate its effects.

She has been named by Christianity Today as one of their 50 Women to Watch; by Time Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential People; by Foreign Policy as one of the 100 Leading Thinkers; and by FORTUNE magazine as one of the World’s Greatest Leaders.  She currently hosts the PBS digital series, Global Weirding: Climate, Politics and Religion.
