Love Your Neighbor

MLK Service Day Kick-Off

Have you been wondering about service opportunities here at Wayne Presbyterian Church?

Well you are in luck.

In 2019 we are kicking off our Love Your Neighbor (LYN) service days on Monday, January 21st, MLK day.  LYN is a new endeavor designed to create intergenerational service opportunities for everyone in the church and in the community, so that all may respond to the call to be ambassadors of Christ’s love, hope, justice and peace.  These service days will not only create community across ages, races, genders, churches and demographics it will also allow each participant to learn and serve alongside a few of our mission partners. We hope that these days of service can empower and cultivate deeper longterm relationships between our congregants our community and our mission partners.

Similar to the Saturday of Service format, LYN will begin on MLK Day, and will occur about one Saturday per month thereafter, through June, 2019.  To make these days happen we will be partnering with ministries in our church, if your ministry would like to get more involved in running a LYN day of service please contact Sarah Hostetter shostetter@waynepres.org

8:45am- Sign-ups, Coffee, and Donuts
