Youth and College ministry at Wayne Presbyterian Church
Our youth programs involve youth from 6th grade Middle School to High School seniors — and all college age students. Led by Interim Youth Director Sarah Hostetter, a typical week in the life of a youth and college student includes Sunday evening youth group, Confirmation classes on Wednesday and Sunday evenings, College Bible Study on Sundays, and large service events every fourth Wednesday.
When COVID is not preventing us from meeting in person throughout the school year, the weekends would be filled with retreats, lock-ins, concerts, and service days, and the summers with trips, conferences and other fun activities. We recognize that Youth Ministry looks a little different right now, but we believe that the Spirit is still moving through our online bible studies, and fellowship hours. We encourage you to reach out if you are having mental health struggles as this is a very isolating time, and if you need someone to discuss faith and the state of the world do not hesitate to reach out. Below are links to our different programming that is happening now and what our program looks like we are back in person.
4th wednesday youth fellowship events
Our Monthly Fourth Wednesday Youth Ministry Fellowship Events are extra special. They are held the fourth Wednesday of the month from 6-8pm. We do ask that you sign up for them so we make the appropriate preparations.
Cocoa with Sarah
In person meet-ups. Do you enjoy the fall weather, hot cocoa, and group/board games? If so I would love to meet up for a wonderful morning /afternoon on your back porch or under a pavilion at a local park for a time of socially distanced fun. Although, we will have masks on, being in person is a much better experience than being on zoom. If you would like to sign-up for 'Cocoa with Sarah' (And yes I will bring you Amish frothed hot cocoa and yummy snacks that pair well with hot cocoa) click the link below. I would especially love to meet all 6th graders and Confirmands. So sign-up today
