We're always looking for ways to share the love of God with others through service. We think it's what God wants us to do to respond to an amazing love that saves us.
At Wayne, we don’t think of mission as just another thing the church does. We think of mission as the very reason for the church in the first place. As such, you’ll hear us talk about it a lot—in sermons, in adult education, over coffee.
While our church has a historic commitment to urban ministry in Southwest Philly and in Center City, we also support local endeavors like theVillage - formerly Presbyterian Children's Village - and global initiatives like a cancer treatment and rehabilitation farm in Egypt and trust groups in South America that support micro-finance initiatives.
In all that we do, we strive to spread the love of God across the globe. In doing so, we usually find love coming right back at us. If you’re interested in how to get involved, check out our Mission Subcommittees and feel free to reach out to the appropriate subcommittee leader.
