Women's Retreat - All Women are Welcome

February 1 & 2 2019

IHM Spirituality Center in Malvern

This year our retreat will focus on JOY.  Most of us are filled with JOY when we are entrenched in happiness. It is easy to find JOY in those mountain top moments. However, there is JOY to be found in the darkest of places.

These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete. [John 15:11 ]

Our  time together will include prayer, conversation, learning and fellowship to deepen our understanding of JOY and how God uses it to strengthen then us.

Nehemiah said, Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. [ Nehemiah 8:10]

We are blessed to have our own Kelli Masters, Director of Children's Ministry at Wayne Presbyterian, leading us towards the light that is JOY. Kelli has been ministering to all ages for over 37 years. She blends her education from Princeton Theological Seminary (MA in Christian Education) and her life experiences into messages that speak to both our minds and hearts. Kelli will guide us on a journey to considering joy using scripture, songs, stories and prayer. Her goal is to help us understand that JOY is a choice we make. Kelli will help us learn where and when we can CHOOSE JOY to enhance our everyday lives.

We will be at the IHM Spirituality Center (1140 King Road, Malvern, PA, 19355 ) for our retreat this year. The Center is located across King Road from Immaculata University and provides spaces for all the things we like to do at our retreat... fellowship, pray, go for walks, sit in quiet and spend time together. They will provide breakfast and lunch on Saturday as well as linens and towels for those who choose to spend the night. All rooms are singles, spacious and well lit. All rooms share hall bathrooms.
