Walking the Mourner's Path

Many times when a loved one has died, it seems as if the world and everyone has returned to a normal life within a few weeks, except for you.  Walking the Mourner's Path offers a safe environment for sharing your feelings with others who understand your pain.  You have the opportunity to discover new solutions to problems, receive encouragement and realize your healing is already begun.

Walking the Mourner's Path is different from other grief programs. It was founded out of the need to answer the question,​"Where is God in my pain?"  For more information, please see our brochure, click here.

WTMP partners with faith communities around the country to help them reach out and serve those who grieve in their church and their communities:

  • 8 Weekly Small Group Workshops
  • Grounded in Prayer
  • Spiritually Directed
  • Guided by Trained Facilitators and Clergy
  • ​Participant Workbook provides a framework for each workshop

  • Wayne Presbyterian offers the 8-week Walking the Mourners’ Path workshop in the fall and in the spring
  • The 2018 fall class is on Sundays, 11 am-12:30 pm, from October 28-December 16
  • The 2019 spring class is scheduled on Thursdays, 5:30-7:00 pm, from February 28-April 18
  • Class is in the Fireside Room
  • Pre-registration is required
