Wayne Presbyterian Church is a place to connect with one another, worship together, learn about God and the world around us, and serve those in need in our church, our community, and beyond. The Adult Education program at WPC stands at the intersection of all these blessings in the life of the church.

The Adult Education Committee seeks to enrich the faith journey of the congregation through a variety of discipleship-focused programs. Central to this mission are eight weekly Bible studies and ministries that meet throughout the week, including Dr. Joe Modica’s Sunday Morning Bible Study Class. These offerings provide opportunities for spiritual growth through diverse formats, times, and settings.

Recent Committee Highlights

  • A 3-week series on Christian Nationalism facilitated by Professor Manfred Brauch.
  • A 10-week series on The Sermon on the Mount led by Dr. Joe Modica.
  • A March 9th outing to People’s Light to see A Raisin in the Sun with post-show fellowship.
  • A visit by Dr. Katharine Hayhoe to discuss her book Saving Us: A Climate Scientist’s Case for Hope and Healing in a Divided World.

Vision & Mission

Our goal is to provide educational opportunities in a variety of formats, and at different times to support the congregation’s faith development and journey. Many of these offerings are designed for small groups, fostering both education and personal fellowship within our large congregation.
