I was baptized at WPC and have been a member for 55 years. Both of my parents were very involved with the church. My father was an Elder and taught Sunday school for many years. My mother sang in the choir, was a member of Needlecrafters and played in the Bell Choir let by Jeff Fowler in her ‘80’s.
I graduated from Allegheny College (Meadville PA) majoring in Political Science and then went to the University of Pittsburgh for my master’s in Public Administration. I went to work for Doylestown Borough first as Assistant Manager and then Manager in the 1980’s. While in Doylestown I was a Big Brother in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program and also served as the President of the Board of the American Cancer Society for Bucks County. I left my position in Doylestown to work in our family real estate business in the 1990’s.
At WPC I’ve served as a Deacon, chairing the Congregational Services committee as well as the Interim PNC, Music Task Force and Director of Music Ministries Search committee which brought us John Grecia. I’m currently on the Wayne Oratorio Society Leadership Team and was involved with development of the first ever WOS commission – Creation by Dan Forrest – which is now being performed worldwide to great critical acclaim. I founded what is now the Cornerstone Christian Academy Orchestra in 2018 and serve on the CCAO Advisory Board.
My nephew Matt and his wife Becky recently joined the church and have three beautiful daughters Molly, Emma and Helen continuing the long Zaro family tradition at WPC.
