The Rev. Dr, Manfred Brauch

Dr. Manfred Brauch is a graduate of Sioux Falls Seminary (MDiv), Princeton Theological Seminary (ThM) and McMaster University, Canada (PhD). From 1970-1978 he taught New Testament Interpretation at Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Overbrook, Ill. In 1978 he was called to Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (now Palmer Theological Seminary of Eastern U.) in St. Davids, PA. In 2004, Dr. Brauch retired from Eastern, where over the course of 26 years he served in several positions: Academic Dean, Professor of Biblical Theology, and President. He is the author of numerous essays in several books and academic Christian journals, as well as the books Set Free to Be: A Study in Romans; Hard Sayings of Paul; and Abusing Scripture: The Consequences of Misreading the Bible. During retirement, Manfred and his wife Marjean (a family physician, who was born to eternal life in 2014), were engaged in volunteer work in theological/biblical education and medical mission in Thailand, Chile, Russia, New Zealand, Honduras, and Cameroon, West Africa. He continues to be active in adult faith formation/education programs in local churches.
