RAISING GOOD HUMANS, A Mindful Guide to Breaking the Cycle of Reactive Parenting and Raising Kind, Confident Kids by Hunter Clark-Fields, MASE
Being a parent is challenging work! And many of us react, in times of stress, without thinking often by yelling. What, if instead, of being an “autopilot parent,” you had new tools to keep your cool, react thoughtfully and defuse or even avoid a meltdown situation?
In this course, we will explore powerful mindfulness skills for calming stress responses when difficult emotions arise. The class will cultivate strategies such as respectful communication, effective conflict resolution, reflective listening. Together, we uncover our own unhelpful learned patterns so that we can break the cycle and respond to our children in more skillful ways.
When children experience a parent reacting with kindness and patience, they model that behavior in their lives.
