Lastly, I want to invite you to a special event this coming Sunday at 3:00 pm in the Chapel! Scott Galloway will be showing his new documentary, Children in Crisis: The Story of CHIP, with a Q&A following. There will be wonderful appetizers as well. Scott is the son of our retired pastor, John Galloway, and we are so excited that we can host him and learn more about John’s role in bringing health insurance to the children of Pittsburgh during the steel crisis of the 1980s.

As Christians we know that we are called to stand with our brothers and sisters in need, showing the love of Christ in a hurting world. Scott's film describes an inspiring example of a response to this call: the collaboration of Pittsburgh churches – one of which was led by our own Rev. Dr. John Galloway, Jr. – to create a grassroots program that expanded into one of the most important federal healthcare programs ever enacted – the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), ultimately helping to insure millions of children.
